Status report

Paul, according to Clerie
Still doing good. Managing to keep up with work, get his exercises in, and spend time with the family. All on less sleep than usual.

Clerie, according to Paul
If there's someone who's got a good attitude about things, it's Clerie. She reminds me what a miracle Lucy is. She helps me to be sweet, and to be happy to help at night.

Jonathan
Jonathan has been eager to please. He's been jazzed about pre-school this week. (There was no preschool last week.) He's loved having Grandma Mary Lou drive him.
Jonathan drew a map the other day. "It's a map of everything. And here's Coldstone." (Our trip last weekend made quite an impression.)
He's doing a great job verbalizing precisely what he wants. "Daddy, will you come sit here with me?" "Mom, can I have a song, too?"

Addison
Addison's been very sweet towards Lucy. She whines at us when she gets jealous, but she snuggles and nuzzles Lucy. Her two things are touching her forehead to Lucy's forehead and cheeks, and saying "Awww." She rocks Lucy...sometimes a bit too energetically.
Since we brought Lucy home, Addi has become much more interested in books. Before, she just squirmed, etc. Now she takes an interest in the book itself.
She got a shot and cried until she saw a Dum Dum Pop. Instantly, she was better.

Lucy
Lucy weighed 9 lbs, 4 oz today, so she hasn't lost much. She's getting cuter each day. Clerie says she's starting to be recognizeable as a girl. She measured 22" long...so much for precision.
She can sleep through anything except night time.
She's a softie and a sweetie. Jonathan seemed concerned and curious. Addi seemed layed back and playful. Lucy seems peaceful and soft.
Right now she's falling asleep in Clerie's arm, snoring, opening her eyes occaisionally to look up at Clerie.

Mary Lou
Mary Lou's been a trooper. Today involved lots of walking, and at the end of it I came home to a pork chop dinner with strawberry shortcake for dessert. Those are both things Mom always enjoyed cooking for us growing up, so it's fun to have a home-style Staten dinner like that. All this time she's been cheerful, and keeps saying how happy she is to be able to help.
